Am I the only freak that's super excited for the new season of True Blood?

I got the magic in me

You probably guessed by now I’m really into the whole modern princess, fairy shebang. That maybe be because my life is so far away from what a princess life I imagine to be - I have a job and responsibilities and very limited funds. But you know what? The fact that you’re not a princess doesn’t mean you shouldn’t dress like one. That’s my dressing philosophy in a nutshell.

The truth is they don’t make dresses like they used to. Take this one for example, I’m pretty sure it was created by a seamstress, it has no fancy label or anything but the level of detail, the shape and the fabric are all amazing - so much better than anything I could ever find in a high street store or even a luxury one. I’m not even talking about the size and length, we can’t be all a size 0 and sincerely where would be the fun in that?!

I made the blue and yellow flower crown myself, I love this kind of whimsy and unique accessories, the ones you can’t usually see on the streets and I do wear this on the streets. I think Harry Winston said it the best : "People will stare. Make it worth their while." And people in Romania stare a lot:)))))))))))))))) so I guess the least I can do it's to give them a run for their money:)))))).

I'm wearing:
 dress – vintage
 shoes – New Yorker
ring- Forever 21
 charm bracelets – random brand
flower crown – made by me (Alice&Sara, you can buy it here)

Would you wear a flower crown with no reason, just because you want to?

The Story of the Fortune Teller and the Flying Circus

Today I have a big treat for you – a stunning editorial from Chotronette named The Story of the Fortune Teller and the Flying Circus. I mean, the title alone is awesome and I think the photos live up and exceed the expectations such a cool name would suggest.

Chotronette is a Romanian brand that basically makes some of my dream dresses, it’s like the two talented girls behind it are seeing some of my fashion dreams and then make clothes out of them. Just like the photos, Chotronette is all about fantasy, colors and playfulness. The editorial is part of the campaign to advertise their 2011 Spring Summer collection. I love it and also happen to love Terry Gilliam and Stephen King.

For some reason I’m fascinated with the circus although I went only once when I was a little girl. But I read a lot of books about this subject, seen even more movies and TV shows on the matter and still believe “Carnivale” is one of the best shows ever made so hell yeah, girls, you and the team did an amazing job.

Storyline: Flirting with magic at the verge of reality
Protagonist: The nomad burlesque fortune teller and the unseen magus of heart illusions (P.S. we've locked away the psychedelic clown)
Props and other disasters: the crystal globe, the fearless lion and the caffeine-overdosed-way-too-talkative French mime
Dress code: Rococo reloaded, Terry Gilliam-inspired hobo extravaganza
Soundtrack: Can't-get-out-of-your-head, obsessive carnival music with a Stephen King twist.

Isn’t everything about these photos perfect?

She's got her halo and wings:)

I guess my eastern European roots are acting out as I find myself wearing a lot of short stuff lately. It may also be the fact I just realized I’m young and free and might as well do it, so what if everybody can see my ass, I will call it my contribution to the world:))))).
I’m obviously joking but in all honesty I do blame the stores, I mean, what’s wrong with you guys?!!! That’s why I prefer vintage!
I ordered this adorable little number from the tall category but guess what? I’m apparently too tall for this section as well. I can’t say I’m surprised, it happened before!
All the accessories I’m wearing here are handmade my me, I especially love my huge flower hippie headband and the bracelets.

This is my “evil eyes face” – if you ever see it, run, save yourself :)))))))
I'm wearing:
dress – New Look
shoes – New Yorker
 wooden colored rings
bracelets and huge flower hippie headband – all made my me (Alice&Sara, click on them for more details)

Don’t you just love the pink tree behind me?

Dreaming is believing – Jesse J

There’s a new cool kid in town - you know I’m talking about Jesse J. There’s something about this girl and her music (amezballs pipes, guys), she’s interesting, she has crazy swagger – I just like her a lot.

And her look is awesome: I really dig the ghetto fabulous Betty Page vibe she’s going for. Jessie has the attitude and sick body to pull off all those crazy body suits and skin tights jumpsuits she always wears. We’re talking about serious talent here: a great voice in a cool package doing something authentic in mainstream pop (that’s fucking hard).

The Uk talent is taking over the world. I’m a fan!!!
Are you into this kind of music or style?
